In April 2008, the board of directors of 23 North Carolina electric cooperatives formed a green services company, GreenCo Solutions, Inc., to help them define and meet their energy efficiency and renewable energy goals.

Today, GreenCo Solutions is helping the electric cooperatives develop energy efficiency programs, evaluate renewable energy projects, and meet regulatory and compliance milestones.
